This is
SAYC's 69th consecutive year of sailing and social activities. So eager to
be racing were the original Shore Acres Yacht Club members that the first
sailboat races were held less than a year after the club was founded, on
June 28, 1941, and a week before the clubhouse was officially opened. SAYC became a member of the Barnegat Bay Yacht Racing Association the
following year; and hosted its first BBYRA regatta.
We have an ambitious social schedule, per popular member request. Social events include Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday night dinners along with breakfast and lunch activities on Sunday's. The clubhouse is located in the best spot on Barnegat Bay. Our Junior Sailing instruction program, our Adult Sailing lessons, and our spring, summer, and fall racing schedules are in place from which everyone can benefit regardless of skill level, interest, or age. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ Upcoming Events Calendar
